A high pressure switch monitors system pressure and actuates at a defined set point. Nason’s high pressure switches use a snap-action, “no-creep” mechanism driven by an elastomer diaphragm or a sealed piston (on higher ranges) to deliver clean, instantaneous switching.
Contacts stay either open or closed until the exact set point is reached, then snap into position, which prevents rapid switching and extends component life. Under typical conditions, our switches are rated for over one million cycles. Models cover set points from 10 to 7,500 PSI.
Choose from factory-preset or adjustable high pressure switch models, with broad electrical connection options and approvals (UL, CSA, and military) to fit your application.
Our compact housings fit in tight quarters without sacrificing performance. When space is limited but you need reliable, repeatable actuation, these switches deliver.
The snap-action mechanism eliminates pressure creep, so the switch actuates at the exact set point every time. A built-in gap between on and off points prevents rapid cycling that can occur with system pressure changes.
Our switches allow you to choose media connection type (NPT, BSP, SAE, metric and more), circuit forms (SPST-NO, SPST-NC, SPDT), and a wide array of electrical connection styles.
All Nason high pressure switches are manufactured in our Walhalla, South Carolina facility for tight quality control, reliable lead times, and consistent performance.
Do you need a switch that matches exact specifications? Use our online configurator to define your perfect fit: select pressure range, media and electrical connections, mounting, and more. You’ll be able to instantly view drawings and part numbers for your exact configuration, as well as download CAD files or a PDF datasheet right from the tool.
We have a range of stock models built to fit most applications. But if you don’t see a stock model that checks every box, we can build one that does.
Our most versatile adjustable high pressure switch is available with eight adjustment ranges from 10–7500 PSI. Lower ranges use a long-life elastomer diaphragm; higher ranges incorporate a proven sealed piston sensor for rugged service.
These switches provide factory-set precision with set points from 10–4500 PSI. Diaphragm construction handles lower set points, while a hardened-steel piston sensor supports higher set points.
The WX series switches are field-adjustable, with five ranges spanning 50–5000 PSI. Their compact design, 1M-cycle life, and NEMA 4/13 capability make them a fit for demanding hydraulic environments.
The XM series include factory-preset set points from 40–4000 PSI, with 5000 PSI maximum operating pressure and 15,000 PSI proof pressure for long service life in harsh duty.
